Simon, (Marvin) Neil
(n. 4 jul. 1927, Nueva York, N.Y., EE.UU.).

Dramaturgo estadounidense. Después de estudiar en la Universidad de Nueva York, trabajó como escritor de comedias para Sid Caesar en la década de 1950. Su obra autobiográfica Come Blow Your Horn (1961) fue la primera de una serie de exitosas comedias, entre las que se cuentan Descalzos en el parque (1963; película, 1967), La extraña pareja (1965; película, 1968) y Plaza suite (1968; película, 1971). Algunas de sus posteriores obras son la trilogía autobiográfica compuesta por Brighton Beach Memoirs (1983), Biloxi Blues (1985, premio Tony) y Broadway Bound (1986). Su trabajo teatral refleja de manera humorística los dilemas cotidianos de la clase media y frecuentemente se sitúan en Nueva York. Por su obra Lost in Yonkers (1991), recibió un premio Tony además del Pulitzer.
